She died on August 4, 2018, of a Lymphoma. Her wake was at New Hyde Park Funeral Home. She's buried in Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, New York.
Ted Hoffman
Adolf Tadeusz “Ted” Hoffmann was born on June 16, 1935 to parents Tytus and Anne Hoffman in BorysÅ‚aw (near Drohobycz), Poland. BorysÅ‚aw is about 47 miles southwest of Central Warsaw.
He had a sister Renata, who was born on January 18, 1939.
We don't know what he did for a living as a young teen while in Poland and Germany, but records list him as an apprentice.
He was a Displaced Person (DP) after WWII. He and his family stayed at the DP Camp Augsburg in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany.
He was moved to Camp Grohn in Bremen in 1951.
At the age of 16, he departed Bremen, Germany on November 1, 1951 for the United States. He was sponsored by the National Catholic Welfare Conference (NCWC) as part of their War Relief Services/Catholic Committee for Refugees . When in the United States, he used the name Ted Hoffman.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and served for a time at the U.S. Army Training Center Armor in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was in Company E, 1st Battalian, 1st Training Regiment.
Ted died on January 22, 2020 and is buried in St Boniface Cemetery in Elmont, NY.
They were married on December 30, 1956 at St Hedwigs Church in Floral Park, NY. They lived at 290 Burkhard Ave, Mineola, NY 1963-2020
