Ruth Mary Pogozelski was born on May 16, 1936 in Williston Park, New York to parents Anthony and Hedwig Pogozelski. She went to St Hedwigs School and Sewanhaka High School. She worked in New York City for Equitable Life Insurance Co. and as a librarian clerk for Sperry & Rand Inc. in Great Neck, New York.
She married Kenneth G. Horr on September 3, 1960 in St. Hedwigs Church, Floral Park, New York. They honeymooned in Niagara Falls, New York three days later. About 1965, she developed rheumatoid arthritis, which put her in a wheelchair and crutches.
In 1986, she and Ken moved to Rowe, Massachussettes. She was a communicant of St. Joachim's Church in nearby Readsboro, Vermont. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lay Community in Rowe, now affiliated with Our Lady of the Rosary Marian Shrine and was a member of the Dominican 3rd Order.
She died on March 3, 2003 at the North Adams Regional Hospital in North Adams, Mass, and is buried in Somers, Tolland County, Connecticut.
Kenneth G Horr was born on April 27, 1936 in Valley Stream, New York to parents Harry and Mildred (Dunn) Horr. He attended Notre Dame University in Indiana studying engineering. He attended Columbia University in New York City and earned a Masters Degree. He worked for DSI in North Adams, MA for twenty years.
After Ruth's death, he married Joan Ingerson.
He died on October 4, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.Elizabeth “Beth” Mary Horr was born on August 14, 1964 to parents Ruth and Ken Horr. She owns and operates Dance Express, 68 Hartford Turnpike, Tolland, Connecticut.
Alexi Horr is the daughter of Elizabeth.
