Schenck had a location in in Floral Park, in the block east of St Hedwigs Church.
In 1943 there was a shortage of bus drivers. Ernest Schenck, president of Schenck Transportation Company said he was considering hiring women bus drivers. His plan was dropped because union seniority rules would force women to work night shifts, and the State of New York prohibited women from working after 10:00 pm.
